RADIOLOGY


The Department of Radiology was started in 1988 and is located at the Diagnostic Centre of Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital. The department uses state-of-the-art equipment and provides expert diagnostic and interventional services to support clinical needs. It has a well-qualified team of in-house Radiologists dedicated to imparting quality health care services to the citizens of Jamshedpur and its periphery.

The department is characterized by the strength of its clinical leadership; its continuing effort toward technological advancements, and its ongoing organizational evolution and resource development to ensure that it is optimally structured and equipped to meet present and future medical and scientific challenges.

  • ✔ 128 slice CT scan (Somatom definition AS-Siemens) -

    •           ■ Routine cross-sectional scan having facility for multiplanar reconstruction for 3-D and VRT imaging.
              ■ Periphery angiography as well as CT coronary angiography.

  • ✔ 3T Tesla MRI (Magnetom Skyra - Siemens)-Routine cross sectional scans, functional study like CSF flow study, MR spectroscopy
  • ✔ 32 slice CT scan (Somatom scope-Siemens) — for 24 hours emergency cases
  • ✔ X-ray mammography (Wipro GE – Alpha ST).
  • ✔ X-Ray-Siemens Heliphos-D.
  • ✔ Portable X-Ray-Kiran Medical System.
  • ✔ Procedures-CT/USG -guided FNAC/Biopsy, Pig-tail/needle drainage of body fluids.
  • ✔ Ultrasound- (Hitachi ALOKA).
